A harrowing tale of what it’s like to be a Microsoft customer. Strangely well-timed, come to think of it.
I haven’t even read the article but I just wanted to say I lol’d at the title of your post.
Anyway the reason I came to tumblr is to show you this
Specifically, this one:
http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Rattler/
I don’t remember if I mentioned it, but around my birthday (6 weeks) I’ll be talking to Dad to see if he can smush the birthday present + christmas presents I’ll be getting into one deal: I want to go halfsies on a $1k PC.
Currently I’m running an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+, 9800 gt and 3 gigs of RAM. This setup is actually really nice, but it’s a custom build so I don’t think it lives up to its potential. Typically when buying a PC, the dudes test it so you know it’ll work and plus I seriously just don’t want to build a computer; the two times I’ve tried, I’ve failed, and the other time I had someone build it for me, the mobo’s fan just didn’t work. It’s not worth the pain in the ass when the deals are getting so close to the custom builds anyway, plus I don’t have to buy an OS with a purchased PC.
Anyway I’m pretty sure that if he does accept, I won’t need a new PC again for a very long time. Plus the degradation and “christmas sales” will make my new PC even stronger than the Rattler. >:F
