Life events which can accumulate into an illness.

The strange thing to me is the non-adult scale. By beginning to date, and subsequently breaking up (likely within a few weeks), you’re at 100 points already, thus putting you well on the way to illness.

Likewise, do the points magically disappear upon reaching adulthood? Ah well. Under-researched ideas tend to fall apart upon closer examination.

The whole concept is flawed. Due to people’s personalities, the units will change. Even if they’re a “general idea”, they still don’t apply, and even if they did apply, having a “general idea” is not good enough for such a serious scale.

“Becoming involved with drugs or alcohol” <– involved? Like the time I went to the store and bought a bottle of robittusin and tripped for eight hours? Who wrote this, some 50-year-old shiny-suit fogey?

“Fathering an unwed pregnancy” really, because I know two fathers who don’t give much of a shit about the babies they created and they seem to be fine. 70 points, try about 20 for them max.

“Pregnancy of unwed sister”. Here’s how it would go down. “Vael, I’m pregnant!” “LOOOOOOOOOOOOL” and then I go back to playing Starcraft. Units of stress: 5.

In fact, they should probably have Starcraft up there ‘cuz that shit gets aggravating.
